▍酒款介紹

在眾多 Speyside 酒廠之中，Mannochmore 一直是一個相對低調的名字。酒廠創立於 1971 年，雖然歷史不算悠久，卻長期作為 Diageo 集團調和威士忌的重要基酒來源（包括 Johnnie Walker）。因此，以官方單一麥芽（Single Malt）身份推出市場的機會極為稀少。

本款來自經典的 Rare Malts Selection 系列——由 United Distillers（Diageo 前身）於 1995–2005 年間推出，主打 1960–1980 年代蒸餾、原桶強度裝瓶、無冷凝過濾的高年份單一麥芽。

這支 Mannochmore 蒸餾於 1974 年，並於 1997 年 以 60.1% 原桶強度裝瓶，酒齡 22 年。

屬於 Speyside 老派風格中極具代表性的作品。

▍品飲筆記

香氣 Nose

橙花水與無花果揭開序幕，伴隨粉筆灰礦物感與香草甜香。隱約墨水與舊報紙氣息，展現老年份威士忌特有的書卷氣質。

口感 Palate

蜂蠟與柑橘皮蠟質感鮮明，香櫞與檸檬汁的酸甜交織，帶有葡萄柚清爽苦韻。高酒精度下仍維持結構清晰與集中度。

尾韻 Finish

乾淨礦物與柑橘精油氣息延伸，餘韻悠長而帶些微蠟質與草本苦甜。

▍Whiskyfun 評分轉折

有趣的是，Whiskyfun 主編 Serge Valentin 於 2002 年試飲小瓶樣本時僅給予 65 分的低評價。

然而到了 2024 年重新以完整原瓶品飲時，整體香氣、口感與尾韻表現皆大幅提升。Serge 表示，當年的樣本可能在運送過程中受到影響，導致品質出現偏差。

最終評分修正為：

⭐ 90 分

這段評分轉折，也成為 Rare Malts 系列中的一段佳話。
